These Podium and Akorner Reference products are our flagship, multi award-winning range of solid wood hi fi racks. Each rack is carefully designed and handmade in our workshop to give you excellent acoustic performance as well as being an attractive, elegant piece of furniture.

With various shapes and standard sizes on offer, and a selection of different hardwoods and finishes, there’s a Podium or Akorner rack to suit any space and complement any type of hi fi equipment. For the ultimate in sound quality, we recommend our optional isolation plinths, available with most products.

If you’re looking for a something a little different, try our bespoke calculator, which you’ll find within each individual product page. It lets you customise the design of your rack by choosing any height, width and depth – all at a pro rata price so there’s no premium to pay. On top of that, we offer any leg length at no extra cost.

Please note that leg heights include the isolation spikes, which are available in black or stainless steel, with or without locking nuts.

Show off your speakers in style

As always, flexibility’s the name of the game. All our speaker stands are available in any height, with bespoke top and base plates to suit your speaker size as well as standard options. Depending on your choice of design, up to six different finishes are available, and each product is individually handmade in our workshop using only the finest solid hardwoods.

Height adjustment isolation spikes, available in black or stainless steel, are included with each pair of speaker stands. The PodiumT5 models also include our innovative cable management system, which keeps your wires tucked away tidily and safely.

The Hi Fi Racks range of accessories

Our accessories range is designed to complement your Hi Fi Racks furniture and help you achieve the very best in sound quality and acoustic performance from your audio visual equipment. 

These items are usually kept in stock, so it’s quick and easy to replace any of your existing accessories that have been lost or damaged. You’ll also need to order extra spikes and legs if you’re expanding or upgrading your hi fi or audio visual equipment.

About our accessories

• Isolation spikes. All our spiked feet have been specially designed to offer the very best acoustic decoupling (the elimination of vibrations). Available in different lengths, they're height-adjustable to compensate for uneven floors. Locking nuts are available with most spikes and there's a choice of black or stainless steel (stainless steel only for 20mm spikes). Our spikes come in packs of 4, complete with floor protectors, which are also available separately.
• Isolation cup floor protectors. These will prevent your floor and AV furniture being damaged by isolation spikes. Choose black or stainless steel to match your spikes. Available in packs of 4.
• Anti-vibration dampers. These are designed for use with speaker cabinets, turntables and other audio equipment, to reduce vibrations. Available in packs of 4.
• Castors. Our heavy duty castors are fitted with a 10mm thread to help you move your Hi Fi Racks furniture around quickly and easily.
• Spare legs. These are available in any height so you can upgrade your existing rack with either matching or black legs.

Isolation Plinths

The Podium range of isolation plinths

Also called isolation platforms, isolation plinths are used when your equipment needs more isolation between it and its resting point, e.g. the floor or hi fi rack level. Part of our multi award-winning Podium range, our Podium isolation plinths help enhance your equipment’s sound quality and acoustic performance by reducing vibrations.

You can add isolation plinths to most of our Podium hi fi racks and wall mounts as an optional extra within the individual product pages. Or, you can order our 22mm and 40mm Podium isolation plinths separately in this section. 

22mm or 40mm isolation plinth?

The two sizes of plinth tend to be used in different ways. 22mm plinths are often placed on the top tier of a rack to provide extra isolation for a turntable. The heavier 40mm plinths are ideal for use on the floor, complete with isolation spikes, for equipment such as speakers and heavy amps that you don’t want to place directly on the floor or on to the rack itself.

Choose from standard or bespoke sizes

Both our 22mm and 40mm isolation plinths are available in a choice of standard sizes and finishes. However, as they’re individually handmade on site at our workshop, your plinths can be made to any width and depth to meet your exact requirements. 

Bespoke plinths are priced on a pro rata basis, so there’s no premium to pay – the bespoke calculator in each product page will work out the price for you.
